Part 3

Hi everyone! Welcome to the third and the last part of our analysis on the cartoons made by Liza Donnelly. In this part we are going to analyze one last cartoon and finish our series on the cartoons revealing gender inequalities by Liza Donnelly.
Cartoon 3
In this cartoon, the difference with the first two is in this cartoon we see one female and one male character unlike the others. In this cartoon the issue conveyed is how the female figure is portrayed by the society as in the first cartoon. Here, the girl is in a dilemma about whether being "a good girl" or "a slut". This reveals the idea that the female figure is seen as two kinds. Ones who are good and the ones who are bad. The woman figure is seen as the only kind of human who can go astray. So that, there are two types that the girls can be when they grow up but this is not seen for the male figure. This reveals the idea that woman are the ones who serve for the well-being of male so that they are seen more like a slave to men by the society.
